I love these ideas! They are both playful and cheap, and in these stressful times when tight household budgets make everyone cranky, we need to remember to still have fun and enjoy life and love. Some of these ideas are good for a couple and many of them are great for a group of friends and/or neighbors. I especially like the idea of everyone chipping in for beer on movie night. It would be even more cost effective if it were held at someone’s house who has a separate play room and the parents could chip in on babysitting and have fun playing while their kids are in the other room having almost as much fun! I’ll try to add more ideas at least once a week. Until then….embrace the joy in your day!!

Getting a group together for board games is an idea I’ve only been able to embrace recently. Cocktails, snacks and rousing game of CLUE or Monopoly suddenly seems fun to me. I’m getting old. 😦
