Performing June 29th in Wilmington Delaware- The Wilmington Black Storyteller Residency ❤️

Free and Family Friendly Performance

Before this week, if you would have asked, I would have said that I wasn’t a Black Storyteller. Yet after a week of getting poured into by so many different artists, historians and Master Storytellers, not only can I say that I am a Black Storyteller, but I also know more about being a songwriter, African dancer and djembe drummer.

I may not be able to do any of it at the level of my teachers, but I will no longer fear exploring them as part of my own artistic process as a writer and poet.

I’ll write more about this transformative experience later, but if you’re around and want to experience Black Storytelling and see the product of our collective work, come out to Wilmington Delaware tonight at 6:30pm. Bring a chair and plenty of cool water! If there’s storms, we’ll move it inside. It’s #FREE and #familyfriendly

I hope to see your face!
